Let’s Talk Initiative

Let’s Talk is an exciting, new collaborative effort to engage the community at the grass-roots level in order to gain a better understanding of shared aspirations for the future, define the challenges that hold residents back today, and identify opportunities to make things better.

Based on these conversations, United Way and One Region will encourage partnerships and collaborations that will address collective concerns and make a measurable difference in the lives of individuals and create lasting change in our community.

Who Came to the Table

More than 500 residents from across Lake and Porter Counties came to our “regional kitchen table” to bravely share their hopes for the future and the concerns they face today. The voices around the table were as rich in diversity of thought, as they were of ethnicity, age, income and life experiences.
