AMERICAN RED CROSS OF NORTHWEST INDIANA MERRRILLVILLE, IN
Responds to immediate needs of victims of disaster such as home fires or natural disasters. Provides emergency services to members of the armed forces including connecting local troops with their families in times of emergency and if needed aids struggling military families in meeting their basic needs.
The Day Group Habilitation Program improves the health and welfare of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families by developing skills and abilities that assist their movement toward community integration, independence and happiness.

The Scouting Program provides participating youth the opportunity to develop educational as well as life building skills while participating in recreational activities with peers and family members that help with character education in a young persons’ development.
BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF NORTHWEST INDIANA, INC. MERRILLVILLE, IN
Provides diverse activities that meet the interests of all youth. Core programs engage young people in activities with adults, peers and family members that enable them to develop self-esteem and to reach their full potential. Local clubs offer program activities in five areas: Character & Leadership Development, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.
Provides emergency services to individuals and families in crisis such as material assistance (rent, utilities, food), housing counseling and assistance for those that are chronically homeless due to mental impairment.
Teen Court provides an education process by which boys and girls, ages 10 to 18, who have committed an offense or an unlawful act, are given an opportunity by referring law enforcement and/or schools to appear before a court of their peers, to be sentenced through a peer court process and to complete their sentence by providing restitution, apologies, community service, or other relevant services. The Safe Place/Safely Home program educates and informs youth of the importance of personal safety and explains how Safe Place sites provide quick access to safety when/if a youth believes they are at risk and provides emergency shelter to youth who are at risk.
Provides set of diverse programs and services to meet the needs of at-risk families and children. Programs include energy assistance, homemaker/chore services for the elderly, handyman services for the elderly and disabled, attendant care, drug prevention, ancillary services such as food assistance, toys and clothing distributions and community workshops.
GIRL SCOUTS OF GREATER CHICAGO & NWIMERRILLVILLE, IN
Builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place by providing five participation pathways: troops, community engagement, events, camp and travel. The Community Engagement program offers Healthy Living, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), and Stand Up! Step Out!.
Provides free civil legal assistance to eligible low-income people throughout the state of Indiana. ILS helps clients who are faced with legal problems that harm their ability to have such basics as food, shelter, income, medical care or personal safety.
Serves people with special needs by empowering them to realize their full potential. Child Care provides a meaningful learning and social experience for children of all abilities between the ages of 6 weeks and 13 years in a safe and caring environment both during the day and after school.
