Lake Area United Way:
We're Local

100% of all non-designated gifts stay in Lake County, IN and Lansing, IL supporting our mission and directly impacting our community.

We're Efficient:

85% of every dollar raised is invested into direct health and human service programs and initiatives. Only 15% is used for fundraising and operation costs. We beat the Better Business Bureau's acceptable standard of 35%. Volunteers are the reason we can keep our costs so low.

We're Effective

United Way gets results. Through a system that reviews and measures program outcomes, your United Way can

benchmark progress and ensure our donors that their money is used effectively and is invested wisely.

We're Focused

We fund programs that help lower the number of financially unstable people and families, incresae the number of young people who are educated and prepared for jobs and life, and boost the numbers of people who are healthy and able to take care of themselves.
