NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF LETTER CARRIERS FOOD DRIVE

Keane_Image.JPGLake Area United Way proudly supports the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive to be held on Saturday, May 14, 2011.  It is the nation’s largest one day food drive to combat hunger in America.

Community members are encouraged to leave non-perishable food items like canned soup and vegetables or boxed pasta, rice and cereal in a bag next to their mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on May 14.  Letter carriers will pick up these items and deliver them to food pantries in Lake County.
