Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance Charity Accountability Standards Met


BBB_icon.jpgThe Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Northern Indiana has evaluated the Lake Area United Way for compliance with the BBB Wise Giving Alliance Charity Accountability Standards and has determined that we have met all 20 standards including accountability, governance and oversight, measurements of effectiveness, and transparency. 

 

The BBB standards were developed to assist donors make sound giving decisions and to foster public confidence in accredited charities.  The BBB Seal demonstrates Lake Area United Way’s commitment to accountability and ethical practices.  To view the BBB’s Wise Giving Alliance Charity Accountability Standards, click here.


 

2012 United Way Worldwide Membership Requirements Completed


Lake Area United Way has completed all 2012 reporting requirements for United Way Worldwide by their respective due dates, and has2012_membership_icon.jpg been granted membership in their international organization.
